George Dickerson is the founder of Level 12 Entertainment. DJ George is a kind, positive, outgoing man. Music has been my passion ever since I was a child. I was introduced to djing from a movie and fell in love with this art form.
I knew I wanted to do something in the entertainment industry and it sat in the back of my mind for years. I went to college and tried many different fields learning a great deal, but never found my niche.
In 1999 a dear friend took me to a festival where I saw a lady dj up on stage, playing music, having a great time, doing what she loved and as I stood there I remembered that love for music and made a decision that djing is what I wanted to do.
My boss at the time was a dj. We hung out and i shared my interest so he sold me some of his equipment. I bought some records and I started practicing, every day, no matter what. In the beginning i practiced at home and played for friends. Eventually I started doing conventions, weddings and many other types of events. It took some time but today I’m doing what I love. Seeing the dance floor full and helping people make memories that will last a lifetime is one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done.
